Christina's lipstick "armor"

Christina recently said that you’ll never see her in public without her make-up because she uses it as her “armor” against the paparazzi and the public. So if you are out in LA, you will be hard-pressed to get a pic of her with your verizon camera phone without those lovely red lips.

The diva said that her red lipstick makes her feel confident and she’d feel exposed to the public’s prying eyes without it. Meanwhile, paparrazi are gathering together with their cingular camera phones and miniature cameras, trying to get a shot of Christina with her guard down.

“The red lips are - I don’t want to call them armor, but they’re the clothes of my character and I’m in the business of entertainment,” she explains.

“I am a woman who has my extremely vulnerable side and my baggage - and at times I feel extremely weak.”

“And who’s to say a little mascara doesn’t make you feel more confident when you pop it on and look in the mirror?”

“It helps, especially in my position, where I have people waiting down the street to take pictures of me (with their verizon cameraa phones) so they can evaluate and criticize every little flaw on my face.” What flaws?

“I suppose that’s where the armor would come into the picture!”
